BRANDI TANNER, PH.D., NCSP

DR. BRANDI TANNER is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and former special educator with over 15 years of experience in her fields. After attending hundreds of IEP, 504, and Student Support Team (SST) meetings and witnessing the stress faced by overwhelmed parents, she founded Your IEP Source as a way to demystify the complexities of the IEP process and empower parent-advocates.

Dr. Brandi received degrees in elementary and special education from West Virginia University and was awarded her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of South Florida. Following her educational training, she completed her APA-approved doctoral internship at the Hope Institute for Children and Families and The Autism Program of Illinois (TAP). The practice also provides treatment for children with autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and behavioral problems.

Dr. Brandi worked in the public school setting for several years giving her insider knowledge of special education rules and procedures. She also has experience in residential and private settings. With experience as an educator and psychologist, Dr. Brandi is also highly qualified to provide information on appropriate educational interventions and services. She can also provide suggestions for treatment planning for home strategies and outside services. In addition to book smarts and insider knowledge from working in the field, Dr. Brandi understands the role families play in as well as she has a family member with a disability.

With experiences ranging from family member, to special education teacher, to psychologist, to behavioral consultant, to IEP advocate, Dr. Brandi has the knowledge and experience to help you to get appropriate school services and supports in place for your child.
